S Ramachandran Pillai injured in accident

KASARGOD: CPM Politburo member S Ramachandran Pillai suffered minor injuries in a road accident in Bevinja here on Thursday afternoon. He was coming from Kannur to inaugurate the C Krishnan Nair Memorial Mandir in Vidyanagar when the car he was travelling hit an autorickshaw around 1.30pm around a curve in Bevinja.The autorickshaw driver Sasi, 40, who suffered injuries was admitted to the E K Nayanar Memorial Hospital at Cherkala. SRP, who suffered minor injuries, was admitted to the E K Nayanar Memorial Hospital. After out patient treatment he was discharged from the hospital. Later, he inaugurated the C Krishnan Nair Memorial Mandir and left for Kannur.
