HYDERABAD: Alleging that YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had “criminal traits”, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana on Friday warned the YSRCP president against any violence by the latter in the event of his arrest. Speaking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan, the PCC chief alleged that the YSRCP was planning to resort to violence in the event of Jagan’s arrest so as to put the blame on the Congress and made it clear that those who resorted to unlawful activities would be dealt with severely by the government. He assured the people that the government would maintain law and order. Coming down heavily on Jagan, he said several persons were sent to jail only because of the illegal activities of the YSRCP chief during the late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime. Even Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, a BC leader who resigned as excise minister, was put behind bars due to the activities of Jagan, he alleged.The PCC chief said that Jagan had got criminal behaviour as the latter has moved hand in hand with anti-social elements like Mangali Krishna.
