The long-awaited Reliance LYF smartphones have surfaced on the Reliance Digital website. This listing of the first in the series of LYF smartphones comes a couple of weeks after IBNLive revealed the detailed specifications of the LYF Earth 1 smartphone.
Four LYF smartphones are currenly listed on the RelianceDigital.in and this includes two variants of the LYF Water 1. Accompanying them are the top-of-the-line LYF Earth 1 and the current base model amongst the four phones - the LYF Water 2.
Last year Reliance Retail had announced that it will soon be rolling out its own LYF range of smartphones, that will also compliment the public roll-out of the Reliance Jio 4G network.
The LYF phones have been designed to make the best of the emerging 4G networks.
With its own brand of smartphones, Reliance is taking on other Indian smartphone brands such as Micromax and Lava along with international players such as Xiaomi and Samsung.
Priced at Rs 23,990, the 5.5-inch LYF Earth 1 is positioned as a phone for camera and gaming enthusists. The phone has dual rear cameras (and includes a front flash) and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with 3 GB of RAM and a large 3500 mAh battery.
The LYF Water 1 is currently listed in two colour options - black and white - and will be available for Rs 14,999.
The Water 2 carries a price tag of Rs 14,690 and includes features such as retina scan, gesture controls and smart sense modes. Both the Water phones have 13 megapixel rear cameras and 5 megapixel front cameras.
