Mamata Banerjee stormed a Kolkata police station on Tuesday forcing the release of two TMC members.
Kolkata: West Bengal chief Minister Mamata Banerjee decided to flex her muscles on Tuesday evening at a Kolkata police station.
Intervening on the behalf of two Trinamool Congress members, who had been arrested earlier for rioting, arson and ransacking the Bhowanipore police station, Mamata stormed the station, forcing their release.
Reportedly, the police swung into action after the Trinamool men, along with a mob of 300, clashed with the policemen who had asked them not to burst high-decibel crackers late in the evening outside a cancer institute and a children's hospital.
The men were part of a Jagaddhatri Puja immersion party.
