The comedy-drama Khosla Ka Ghosla is a cult classic that still entertains fans. The film starred Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parvin Dabas, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Tara Sharma. It will be re-released on October 18, and the makers announced a sequel ahead of that date. Reacting to this, Ranvir Shorey, who played Anupam Kher’s son, revealed that there is nothing concrete about it.

Hindustan Times quoted Ranvir Shorey saying, “There’s nothing concrete about it. The producers just said it in our press conference.” Ask him if would be keen on reprising the role if the sequel works out, and he says, “Of course! Given the right condition, definitely I would love to!”

The film story revolved around a middle-aged man played by Anupam Kher whose dreams of constructing a family home are dashed after his land is illegally occupied by property thug Khurana. The latter half showcased the family’s scheme to regain the land. It was creatively produced by Jaideep Sahni who also took on the role of writer for the film. Additionally, it was produced by Tandav Film Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Anupam Kher, expressing his excitement for the re-release, said in a statement, “It is such a great feeling to know KKG is releasing again. It has achieved the status of a cult film. Wherever I go, people talk about Khosla ka Ghosla, and its lines are used as memes. I am delighted that it’s being re-released and that the audience will enjoy it all over again,” as quoted by Bollywood Hungama.

Ranvir Shorey’s participation in Bigg Boss OTT 3 came as a shock to some and a surprise to others. At the time of participating in Bigg Boss OTT 3, Ranvir had revealed that his sole reason for joining the show was frustration stemming from a dearth of work and some projects that didn’t materialize. Kay Kay also disclosed that in the pre-pandemic era, he too went through a rough patch when good offers had dried up. Talking about it, he shared, “This was before the OTT boom. It had to do with the fact that in cinema and the films that we see in theatres, the scope for people and actors like us had reduced.”

On the work front, Ranvir Shorey was last seen in a web series Shekhar Home.
