CHENNAI: The HC has admitted the writ pleas from the TNPSC chairman R Sellamuthu and eight other members challenging a GO dated August 9 this year, which brought the body under the purview of the Sate Vigilance Commission and Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption department.The first bench comprising Chief Justice MY Eqbal and Justice TS Sivagnanam ordered notice to the respondents, returnable by four weeks. The chairman’s counsel G Sankaran contended that the TNPSC, created by the Constituion, was an independent body and should be shielded from the interference of the State.
