BANGALORE: “The City Civil Court in Bangalore should be split into four parts and we should have them in their respective jurisdictions”, opined CM Udasi, Minister for Public Works.Speaking at a function organised by the Advocates Association here on Thursday, he said that there is no space in the civil court. “Traffic problems around the court have increased in the recent past. In the next five or ten years, it is expected to affect the normal functioning of the court. Keeping this in view, works must be carried out to ensure smooth functioning by splitting the city civil court in to four parts. Even other cities like Mumbai have done this”.Udasi said that the works of construction of canteen, car parking cellar etc at the High Court and city civil court meant for the welfare of the advocates which are carried out by his department will speed up and be completed at the earliest. K N Subbareddy, president of the Association, requested the minister to allot chambers for advocates at the Election Commission building.Responding to the request, Udasi said that he will take a decision after consulting officials concerned.
