BHUBANESWAR: Chairman of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha (HRAO) JK Mohanty has called upon all the hotel and restaurant owners to reach out to the flood affected people in distress condition with cooked food, drinking water and clothes.
In an appeal to all the hotel and restaurant owners, Mohanty said in this time of great distress people are out in the open air and streets expecting relief urgently and the hotel and restaurant owners should reach out to places near their hotels and to all places where it is difficult for other relief operations to reach. While the Government is doing its best, the hoteliers who have the advantage of preparing cooked food can extend their helping hand at this critical hour, he said. The Swosti Group started its relief work on Monday from Gop area in Puri district and distributed cooked food packets, medicines, clothes and drinking water to about 1,000 families. It will continue for another 10 days.
