Rajapaksa okayed flights o Madurai

MADURAI: Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa has approved a flight service between Madurai and Sri Lankan to strengthen relations between people of both countries, said Congress MP Manicka Tagore.Tagore was one among the four Congress MPs from Tamil Nadu, who were part of a Parliamentary delegation that visited Sri Lanka to assess the living conditions of Sri Lankan Tamils. Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Tagore said, ”During our discussions with the Sri Lankan president on efforts to improve the cultural relations between both countries, Rajapaksa told us that he had approved papers to start a flight service to Madurai.”
