KOCHI: The Kerala Catholic Corporate School Managers came out strongly against the Government move to  regulate the appointment of teachers in aided schools. The government’s education package is inadequate and impractical, it said. The association said it was within the rights of the minority institutions and aided schools to make appointments of teachers independently.  The teachers bank and unrestrained control of appointments are unacceptable, the association said. The statement came during the meeting of the Kerala Catholic Corporate School Managers presided over by KSBC Education Commission chairman Bishop Stanley Roman. The package which was prepared lacks clarity and the figures on the number of protected teachers are farfetched. The government should go in for detailed discussions and studies before taking decisions that can have long-term impacts. The association said the government’s package will lead to delays in the appointment of teachers to aided schools apart from other complications.
