PALAKKAD: Two employees of Megha Distributors, the wholesale agents of other-state lotteries, including the Bhutan Lottery, have agreed to undergo lie-detector test before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court here on Tuesday. This is in connection with the case related to the fire that broke out at the office of Megha Distributors at Kunnathurmedu.Several computers and documents were burnt in the fire on September 12, 2010. The employees to be subjected to the test are Chandrasekharan and Kapil.DySP Sankaranarayanan told Express that the police would subject the duo to liedetector test at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Thiruvananthapuram. The police had earlier stated before the court that the statements of the two employees were 'contradictory and suspicious'. They had also sought permission to subject the employees to lie-detector test. The police added that only a scientific examination of the two suspects, who were in the office during the fire, can bring out the truth. The KSEB, which conducted an inquiry, had stated that the fire was not caused by short circuit.
