HYDERABAD: A businessman who had been allegedly harassing and blackmailing a college girl was, on Monday, nabbed by OU police. The accused, Srinivas, runs a mobile spares shop in Khammam town. Reportedly, they both had been into a relationship with each other for the past three years.
An year ago, the girl had shifted to the city to study M Sc Physics in Saifabad PG college. After joining the college, she started avoiding Srinivas. However, when Srinivas tried to meet her, she refused as a result of which he started to blackmail her. Later, he threatened to circulate videos on the internet, which he claimed had objectionable photos of both of them. Police said the matter came to light after the girl told confessed to her hostel mates about the issue. PDSU activists, reportedly, made the girl call up Srinivas and when he came to meet her at the hostel, they caught him.
