“India has lost a legend,” wrote Mumbai-based tattoo artist Mahesh Chavan while sharing the video on Instagram. The video shows the man getting a portrait of Ratan Tata tattooed in black ink on the left side of his chest. It also reveals the heartwarming story behind this body modification.

“A few years ago, a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. We tried everything, visiting all the major hospitals, but the treatment costs were very high. You know how it is – even the bravest feel intimidated when faced with such expenses. No one helps you out in such a situation,” the man recalled in the video.

He continued, “Someone told us to approach the Tata Trust. When we inquired there, we found that the treatment would be completely free. We got him admitted, and after about a year and a half, he recovered. Every day, there are countless people like him whom Tata Trust helps. You couldn’t even count them all, nor could I.”

The man, who is inspired by the industrialist’s generosity and wants to help those in need, added, “I also try to help others, but I can never match what they do. That’s when I decided that if I ever become someone of significance, I would want to be like Sir Tata, helping those in need. I consider him a god in real life – a true saviour.”
