Generally, whenever someone goes to buy a house, they look at the various features it offers. People check out the floor layout, the interior, ventilation, light and much more. Recently, a beautiful house was listed for sale in Britain. However, when the interior was checked out, it left people shocked.
A person took to Reddit to share a property listed on a website. On clicking the link, you will find that the house is located on Temple Lane, Copmanthrope, York. The first photo shows a huge and stunning house with a spacious patio and a vastly spread-out lawn. The next few photos show the interior of the house– a spacious kitchen all painted in white with matching furniture and grey carpet, a roomy white living room with a white faux fireplace mantel.
The gigantic windows allowed ample sunlight and when left open, would make the house airy. After seeing the photos of an open gym and well-lit corridors, this one photo of a washroom will leave you shocked. The grey-carpeted washroom has a purple-coloured bathtub, commode, cistern and basin.

The caption reads, “Nothing rhymes with purple. Just remember, at some point, someone had this installed and thought “cor, that looks fantastic”. This 5-bedroom bungalow which is built on 1.5 acres of land is being sold for £ 695,000 (approx Rs 7 crore). Throughout the house, the colour combination has been white and grey, hence, the purple colour in the washroom left everyone bewildered.
A user commented, “The juxtaposition between the purple bathtub and toilet and the bare grey walls and carpet is really unsettling. Like, if you’re going to be garish then at least go all the way.” Another commented, “It’s really weird as it’s completely at odds with the rest of the house. It’s like the owners forgot they had an en suite when they redecorated after the 70s. It’s a really lovely property though. Plenty of scope.” One wrote, “What kind of person has carpet in their kitchen?”
