Vodafone India on Monday launched a data offer where a customer connecting with a new 4G handset can now get the benefit of 10 GB data at the cost of just 1 GB for up to three months, a company statement said here.
"With VodafoneSuperNet customers can now pay for 1 GB and get 9GB additional free. As a result, a customer connecting with a new 4G handset can now enjoy 10 GB data at the cost of just 1 GB for up to 3 months," the company statement said.
This offer is for circles where Vodafone has its own 3G and 4G services. It can be availed of by both prepaid and postpaid customers till December 31, 2016.
"With the festive season approaching, we are giving a greater reason to customers to upgrade to 4G handsets. With this offer, we are encouraging new 4G handset users to enjoy the VodafoneSuperNet experience to the fullest and explore the wonders of the internet in a truly worry-free manner," said Sandeep Kataria, Director - Commercial, Vodafone India.
Recently, Bharti Airtel had launched a special 4G data pack that offers free data for 90 days. The offer is available for both new and existing users at a price of Rs 1,495. Note that Fair Usage Policy (FUP) will be applicable.
As per the FUP, users will get 4G speeds for up to 30GB of data consumption. After which, the internet speed will automatically drop to 2G. The 30GB 4G free data is valid for 90 days. The Airtel offer comes down to Rs 50 per GB, similar to what Reliance Jio has to offer.
