LG's press release leaks Apple's plans to launch an 8K resolution iMac this year
LG has published a press release which states that Apple will introduce the next-gen of high-resolution 8K in its upcoming iMac, which is yet to be publicly announced.

New Delhi: Apple's display supplier LG reportedly made a blunder by prematurely publishing the tech giant's plans of launching an 8K resolution iMac this year. The electronics manufacturer made live a press release that spilled the beans about the super-high resolution display that Apple is likely to announce soon.

The press release points to an all-in-one desktop, an iMac, that will have the next-gen of high-resolution 8K. Quoting the BBC, the statement reads that as 8K is the highest resolution the human eye is capable of seeing, it will possibly overtake the market in the future.

8K or 'quad ultra-high resolution', as dubbed by LG, would have a resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 pixels, that is twice the resolution of a 4K screen with four times the number of pixels, Apple Insider notes in its report.

LG's statement clearly notes that Apple has announced that it will release the iMac 8K later this year. In reality, the company is yet to officially announce any plans for a new iMac update.

Although it is not unusual if Apple decides to upgrade the display resolution of its computers, but it is a little odd for LG to have revealed the news way before anticipated.
