AliExpress Standard Shipping takes around 10-45 days. If you choose this shipping method, your products are shipped by AliExpress. This option is often free or cheap (one to three dollars). Unlike some shipping options, you can track AliExpress orders which are being shipped by AliExpress.
Cainiao Super Economy delivers orders in about 30-50 days. It’s considered a cost-effective method and offered by the Alibaba Group. However, this shipping option doesn’t provide tracking, so it’s hard to know exactly when your AliExpress order will arrive. To get this shipping method, your order must cost less than five dollars and weigh less than 4.4 pounds (2.0 kg). Although you cannot do end-to-end tracking, you may be able to see the mail’s location while it’s still within China on the Cainiao website.
Cainiao Super Economy for Special Goods typically takes 20-40 days. Unlike Cainiao Super Economy, this option offers tracking so you can follow your package’s progress. It’s also typically faster, although it may cost slightly more.
ePacket ships in around seven to 30 days. If you use this shipping method for your AliExpress order, you can track your package from start to finish. ePacket is popular among dropshippers who order from AliExpress because it is considered reliable and fast for its cost.
Yanwen Express shipping usually takes 25-30 days. Prices are considered competitive, though this may not be your cheapest shipping option. This shipping method also offers tracking—simply enter your tracking number from the AliExpress website into the Yanwen Express website.
SunYou Economic Air Mail delivers orders in about 40-60 days. You can’t track your order if you choose this shipping method. However, it may be cheaper than other methods.
China Post Air Parcel shipping usually takes seven to 30 days. This is the national state-owned postal service of China, making it a reliable and economic option. Track your AliExpress orders shipped through China Post Air Parcel by entering your order’s tracking number on their official website.
AliExpress Premium Shipping delivers in around five to ten days. While it costs more than AliExpress’s Standard Shipping option—which is usually free—Premium Shipping orders arrive much sooner. Use this method when you need your package fast. You can track orders shipped with this service.
Cainiao Expedited Standard shipping arrives after 20 to 40 days. This AliExpress shipping method costs more than the standard Cainiao options, and the delivery time may not be significantly earlier than with another option. Consider if the cost is worth the estimated delivery window before choosing this shipping method for your order. This method offers package tracking.
EMS (Express Mail Service) ships within five to 10 days. EMS is a subsidiary of China Post. It offers detailed tracking, although it comes at a higher cost than China Post Air Parcel shipping. Choose this option if you need your AliExpress order soon.
DHL shipping delivers in one to four days. DHL is a major logistics company, so its shipping services are generally considered reliable. However, it is likely one of the priciest options for AliExpress shipping. Select DHL if you want to make sure your AliExpress items arrive within a short timeframe. You can track DHL orders on the courier’s official website.
FedEx shipping typically takes between one and three days. As a global shipping company, FedEx is reliable and efficient. You can track your order on the FedEx website once AliExpress provides you with a tracking number. Still, it’s likely more expensive than other shipping methods. Consider if the price is worth it to get your AliExpress order faster.
UPS Express Saver ships within one to three days. Use this shipping method if you absolutely need your AliExpress package right away. It will likely be an expensive option, but offers detailed tracking and delivery speed.
How to Track Your AliExpress Order
Go to the AliExpress website. Navigate to the [aliexpress.com official website]. Make sure you’re logged into your account so you’ll be able to view your orders.
Navigate to your orders. Hover over your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the website, next to the shopping cart icon. A dropdown menu will appear. Click “My Orders” to go to your AliExpress order history.
Find and select the order you want to track. Orders are listed as either “To ship” or “Awaiting delivery.” Orders in the “To ship” section are still being processed by the seller. Find your order under “Awaiting delivery” if it has already shipped and click “Track Order” on the right side of the order listing. If you check the order details on an order that hasn’t shipped, there is a countdown. Your order will either be shipped by the seller before the countdown ends, or be closed by AliExpress and refunded to you. Most sellers will process your order to ship within seven business days, according to AliExpress. If there is no “Track Order” button or no information on the tracking page, your shipping method may not offer tracking. AliExpress shipping options that don’t offer tracking include Cainiao Super Economy and SunYou Economic Air Mail.
View the tracking information. Once you click “Track Order,” you should automatically be redirected to a page with more tracking information. At the top of this page, look for the estimated delivery date. You may also be able to see your package’s location, or use a tracking number from this page on the shipping service’s website to get more details. After your order ships, AliExpress warns that it may take up to 11 days for tracking information to appear. If there is no tracking information after 12 days, they suggest disputing to request a refund. The estimated delivery time may change to reflect either a delay or an earlier arrival date, based on the latest updates from the carrier.
Why does AliExpress take so long to ship?
Many AliExpress orders ship by sea instead of by air. Because AliExpress products are often being shipped from China to other countries, they must travel long distances. Shipping by sea will typically take longer than shipping by air—but it will also be cheaper in most cases. Pay extra for an air-shipping method to get your order faster.
AliExpress orders may have to go through customs. When you order something from another country, it has to pass inspection by either (or both) its origin country and its destination country. Any order can be chosen for advanced inspection, which delays its arrival to your door. When you track your package on the AliExpress website, it will typically tell you once it has cleared customs in its origin country.
Chinese holidays slow down shipping processes. Because many AliExpress products ship from China, Chinese holidays that close or limit postal and customs services can increase the shipping time. The most notable holiday is Chinese New Year, which is usually celebrated for one to two weeks in late January and/or early February. If you’re concerned about shipping delays, avoid ordering products from AliExpress that ship from China during this timeframe.
How to Report an Order that Never Arrived
Go to the “My Orders” page of AliExpress. On the AliExpress website, hover over your profile icon in the upper-right corner. Select “My Orders” from the dropdown menu. This will take you to view your orders.
Request a refund on the order details page. On the order history page, find the late item. Click the order to view its details. If the estimated delivery window has passed, a button should appear saying “Returns/refunds.” Click this button to open a dispute request. If the order hasn’t shipped yet, there should be an option to cancel the order.
