When Emily Blunt starrer The Girl On The Train released in 2016, the actress garnered praise for her performance, although the film itself got mixed reviews. Nonetheless, its Hindi adaptation starring Parineeti Chopra was highly anticipated, and has been released by Netflix this weekend, so viewers can see if this one measures up to the original.
Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma are back to turn up the heat in the second season of Jamai 2.0. The confusing title is owing to the fact that the digital spinoff of the immensely popular TV show was called Jamai 2.0, and this is the second season of the web series.

The Girl on The Train (Netflix)
The mystery thriller film directed by Ribhu Dasgupta is based on British author Paula Hawkins’ 2015 novel of the same name. Parineeti Chopra stars as an alcoholic and troubled divorcee who gets embroiled in a murder investigation. Aditi Rao Hydari and Kirti Kulhari star in the film too. The film’s release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and makers decided to stream it digitally on Netflix.
Jamai 2.0 Season 2 (ZEE5)
Jamai Raja premiered in 2014 as a television show and ended after a successful 3-year run. In 2019, ZEE5 announced the first season of the Jamai 2.0 franchise, a digital spin-off. The second season of the show premiered on February 26 with a bigger plot twist and more glamorous look. In this story of love, revenge and betrayal, Sidharth encounters DD, who is determined to break Sid-Ni. She throws some deadly tests his way to prove him unworthy. Additionally, people warn Roshni to be vigilant about Sidharth and his intentions. Roshni later finds out that Sidharth is trying to find her brother. These turn of events set fire to their chase and turn this not so ordinary love story into their ultimate test.
1962: The War In The Hills (Disney+ Hotstar)
This is the story of 125 Indian soldiers who fought against 3000 Chinese in a battle that changed the course of the war. Inspired by true events, 1962: The War In The Hills is a tale about these soldiers who despite being outnumbered and armed with basic equipment stopped the infiltrating army in its tracks, which became one of the greatest last stands in military history. Abhay Deol essays the role of Major Suraj Singh, the charismatic leader of a small battalion called ‘C Company’. The series also features an ensemble cast including Akash Thosar, Sumeet Vyas, Rohan Gandotra, Annup Soni, Meiyang Chang, Mahie Gill, Rochelle Rao, Hemal Ingle and many more.
Snowfall (Disney+ Hotstar)
Snowfall is a crime drama series, created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and Dave Andron. Set in Los Angeles in 1983, the series revolves around the first crack epidemic and its impact on the culture of the city. In Season 4 of Snowfall, Franklin will try to regain control over his business and end the rising gang violence in the streets before it becomes an all-out war. Cast inclues Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Isaiah John, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Michael Hyatt, Amin Joseph, Angela Lewis.
Riviera season 3 (SonyLiv)
The story is about a woman discovering her family’s lifestyle has been funded by blood and seeks to protect herself and her loved ones. Set in the French Riviera, the series follows Georgina Clios, an American art curator whose life is turned upside down after the death of her billionaire husband Constantine Clios in a yacht accident. Georgina becomes immersed in a world of lies, double-dealing and crime, as she seeks to uncover the truth about her husband’s death. Created by Neil Jordan, the show features Julia Stiles, Lena Olin, Dimitri Leonidas amongst others. Season 3 is out now on SonyLIV.
