Wrong to say I benefited from dynasty, says Poonam Mahajan
Poonam's name was cleared for Mumbai North Centra seat by the BJP's Central Election Committee on Thursday.

Mumbai: Denying that she has been benefited from dynasty politics, BJP candidate from Mumbai North Central constituency and daughter of late Pramod Mahajan, Poonam Mahajan, on Friday said that she has been given party ticket because of her hard work.

"I am not fighting a by-poll where my father left a seat for me. My father didn't die a few days back. My father died in 2006. I have been working from eight years. It is unfair to say that I benefited from dynasty," Poonam said.

Poonam's name was cleared by the BJP's Central Election Committee on Thursday. She will be taking on sitting Congress MP Priya Dutt.
