TMC leader Samar Maiti was returning home from the local market when miscreants fired at him.
Tamluk: Trinamool Congress leader and deputy pradhan of Nandigram Block II of East Midnapore district Samar Maiti was shot at allegedly by miscreants on Tuesday night, police said.
Maiti was returning home from the local market when miscreants fired at him.
He was immediately rushed to the Tamluk Hospital. The Tamluk Hospital has referred the seriously injured Maiti to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, they said.
Superintendent of Police Sukesh Jain said that police has launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants who fired at Maiti.
