Kolkata: The CBI investigation into multi-crore Saradha scam is picking pace. West Bengal Transport Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Madan Mitra will appear before the CBI on Friday in connection with the case.
Mitra was summoned by the CBI in November but he checked into a government hospital instead barely hours before his scheduled appearance before the investigating agency, presumably to evade the grilling session.
Meanwhile, former TMC MP Kunal Ghosh's judicial custody also ends on Friday.
