Quit UP! BJP tells Mulayam
The BJP stepped up its attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav over the Nithari killings.

New Delhi: The BJP on Wednesday stepped up its attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav over the Nithari killings and accusing him of inaction, asked for his immediate resignation.

Party MP Ashok Pradhan had written to Mulayam six times, requesting him to set up a special team to investigate cases of missing children, said BJP general secretary Vinay Katiyar.

Pradhan reported that he had been writing to the Chief Minister since January and had voiced his concerns in the local media as well.

The BJP, which is seeking a CBI probe into the killings, maintained that it would force the state government to recommend such investigation.

Katiyar said that while complete anarchy prevailed in UP, the Centre was to blame for the present law and order situation in the SP-ruled state.

He maintained that the BJP was already planning its next course of action over Nithari killings.
