New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Narayan Dutt Tiwari has made it clear that he wants to move out of the state politics.
He made the announcement at the release of the party manifesto for the state elections.
The veteran Congress leader said that he would be relinquishing office even if Congress returns to power in the Assembly elections slated for this month.
The state legislative Assembly elections on February 21 are to be contested under the leadership of the incumbent chief minister Tiwari.
The announcement is also being seen as a bid by the 82-year-old leader to play a larger role at the national level.
