Bokhiriya, who was found guilty in the Rs 54 crore illegal mining case, has been taken into custody.
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Water Resources Minister Babubhai B Bokhiriya was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in 2006 illegal mining case by Porbandar Sessions Court on Saturday.
Bokhiriya was found guilty in the Rs 54 crore illegal mining case.
The minister has been taken into custody and has seven days to appeal against the conviction in the High Court.
The other three who have been sentenced to jail in the case are former MP Bharat Odedara, Bhima Dula and Laxman Dula.
