New Delhi: The Editors Guild of India has issued a notice to Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party for the statements made against media.
"It is ironic that those figures who built their reputations through media are now turning against it," it said.
The notice reads, "It is equally disquieting to find Arvind Kejriwal attributing corrupt motives to the media that were critical of him and charging media with being pressured into ignoring him without coming up with specific details or material to substantiate such charges."
Kejriwal while launching his party's Lok Sabha campaign on Sunday alleged that there was a nexus between media organisations and some industrialists.
The Editors Guild has also objected to comments by former Army Chief General VK Singh. It has appealed to public figures not to resort to vague and unsubstantiated charges.
