New Delhi: Neelam Katara, who won national fame for her fight against the alleged killers of her son, may contest elections in Delhi for the Congress, sources tell CNN-IBN
Katara, mother of Nitish Katara, who was allegedly murdered by a powerful politician’s son and nephew, on Tuesday met a senior Congress leader and later said she will never shrug off any responsibility.
Vikas, son of UP politician D P Yadav, and his cousin Vishal Yadav have been found guilty of Nitish's murder and were sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court last year.
Katara met Mukul Wasnik, the All India Congress Committee general secretary, on Tuesday but claimed it was a “courtesy call.”
“I don’t know what rumours are going but it is too early to speak about elections. I have never shrugged off taking any responsibility,” she said.
