RLD has said in Bulandshahr that the party president Ajit Singh will be party's Chief Ministerial candidate in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Sighting ideological differences with the BJP and policy difference with the Samajwadi Party, Jayant Chaudhary, incharge of youth wing of the party and Ajit Singh's son on Monday said RLD may enter into an electoral alliance with any party other than the BJP and Samajwadi Party.
The RLD also said that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's silence over repeated requests by the RLD to look into the issues pertaining to sugarcane farmers was the main reason that led to support withdrawal by the party.
