In a desperate attempt, he hopped onto his Tesla to reach the assembly point. The photos of the incident appeared on the Tesla Israel Telegram channel. ‘C’ spoke from Sheba Hospital where he is hospitalised after a series of head and hand surgeries.

“The terrorists recognised me from a distance of 10 yards. In addition to their Kalashnikovs, they had a machine gun that fired bullets of a larger caliber. They did not realize that it was an EV, so they shot at the front, hoping to hit the engine that wasn’t there, and at the back, trying to set the fuel tank on fire. Of course there was also no fuel tank. They shot my tires. I pressed the accelerator, and they started chasing me,” he explained.

The Tesla was battling a Toyota truck, which was accompanied by a diesel truck with about 150 hp, an electric sedan with more than 530 hp and dual drive.

‘C’ was a lone driver in a private car against 15 well-armed militants. Even though the tires went flat, the dual-drive system balanced the wheels. This enabled ‘C’ to reach speeds of up to 110 mph. The entire chase game left the Tesla riddled with bullet holes. However it is preserved and not overheating.

His tale was shared on X by Gilad Alper, head of Israel’s Freedom Party and former member of the advisory board to the Israeli Ministry of Finance. He also shared images, have a look:

Elon Musk also responded to the post. He wrote, “Glad he made it!”
