This US Company Offers Unique Cinematic Experience By Serving On-Screen Dishes From The Film
Each dish is meticulously crafted and served at the exact moment it appears on the screen, Fun n Fork claims.

Popcorn and soft drinks are considered the de-facto snacks allowed during movie screenings. However, now a US-based company called Fork n Film is changing this concept by offering dishes that are shown in the films to the viewers just as the dish emerges on this screen. With this Fork n Film wants their “guests not just to watch, but also to taste the movies.” As per their website, Fork n Films claims that “each dish is meticulously crafted and served at the exact moment it appears on the screen, offering an unprecedented level of engagement with the movie.”

An Instagram account shared a video about the dining and movie-watching experience at Fork n Films’s screening of the holiday classic “Home Alone”. The video documented how the audience was served a nine-course meal that features in the 1990 film. The video’s caption explained the experience “If you’ve ever wanted to try the food seen in a movie, then this is the experience for you!”

This clip has gathered over 7 lakh likes since it was posted on November 29. In the comments many people pointed out the movies, with great food-related moments, that would be apt for such film screenings. An Instagram user wrote, “Ratatouille in there would be LEGENDARY.” Another quipped, “Imagine if they made the food from Studio Ghibli movies.”

However, a few people were quick to comment on the accuracy of the on-screen dishes and the dishes that were offered. An Instagram user observed, “That is NOT how the ice cream of home alone is. Either be the identical copy or go home.” Making a similar point, another mentioned, “Sounds cool but if I’m gonna pay good money that ice cream Sundae needs to be more appetizing. It looked lame compared to the one Kevin makes.” A person noted, “The pizza in this movie makes me want pizza every time! The pizza they just showed from this restaurant…. Trash lol.”

Fork n Film currently has limited openings in Los Angeles and New York City. As per their website, the starting price of the dining and cinema-watching experience starts at $199.99, approximately Rs 17,000. For the front-row seats, one needs to pay $274.99, which is approximately Rs 22,000. For the VIP booth, the ticket costs $299.99, approximately Rs 25,000. The screening also has vegan and vegetarian options for the same price.
