Tara Sutaria Turns 28: A Journey From Student to Hindi Cinema Star

The ‘Student of the Year 2’ fame Tara Sutaria is celebrating her 28th birthday today. Besides being one of the young and stunning actresses of the Indian film industry, Tara is also a brilliant singer. The actress has garnered attention and praise from audiences and critics from her first Bollywood debut movie. However, the actress began her career in the entertainment industry before debuting on Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2, alongside Tiger Shroff and Ananya Pandey.

Born on November 19, 1995, Tara Sutaria is a trained classical ballet dancer and has been a professional singer from an early age of seven-years-old. She began her entertainment journey as a video jockey (VJ) on the Disney Channel. Soon after her association with Disney, she got engaged with two of the renowned Disney sitcoms, “The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir” and “Oye Jassie” in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

Simultaneously, Tara has also been recording music in India and abroad for films, advertisements and her own original work. Apart from the roles in Disney Channel, she has also played the lead role of Sandy in Raell Padamsee’s production of the musical, “Grease”. Later in 2019, Tara marked her first lead role in Karan Johar’s film, “Student of the Year 2” wherein she was paired alongside Ananya Pandey and Tiger Shroff.

1. Student of the Year 2 (2019)In her debut movie, Tara played the role of Mridula Mia Chawla where she was paired against Tiger Shroff and alongside Ananya Pandey. The teen-romance film was directed by Punit Malhotra while being produced by Karan Johar’s production banner, Dharma Productions.
2. Marjaavaan (2019)In the same year of her debut in the film industry, Tara got featured in the Milap Zaveri’s action thriller “Marjaavaan” wherein she played the role of a mute music teacher. Tara was featured alongside of Siddharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh in the movie.
3. Tadap (2021)Tara then played the role of Ramisa in 2021 release Tadap, with the debutant Ahan Shetty in the movie. It was a remake of the Telugu film titled, “RX 100”, which was directed by Milan Luthria in its Hindi version.
4. Ek Villain Returns (2022)Following Tadap, Tara worked in Mohit Suri’s helmed Ek Villain Returns alongside Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The movie was produced by Ekta Kapoor.
5. Heropanti 2 (2022)Playing the role of Inaaya Saran in Heropanti 2, Tara featured against Tiger Shroff. The movie was directed by Ahmed Khan and served as an action drama. Besides Tara and Tiger, Heropanti 2 also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
