Since it was first announced that Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan would be collaborating on an action film called Fighter, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the release of the film. After the makers finally unveiled the film’s trailer, Hrithik and Deepika’s sizzling chemistry was pretty evident. Amid this, there was speculation that the run time of the film would be 3 hours and 10 mins. However, the makers have now put an end to these rumours by revealing the actual run time of the film.
Director Siddharth Anand took to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, last evening and revealed the real run time of the film. “#Fighter run time rumours. Real run time is under 2 hours 40 minutes,” he wrote. Several fans took to the comments section to express their excitement for the film.

One person wrote, “FDFS just for you lord Siddharth, Love from SRK fans ❤️.” Another added, “Will be 1st BLOCKBUSTER of 2024 .” One fan wrote, “Can’t wait for those 2 hours 40 minutes.” One fan commented, “2:40 min 3 hours idc. I will be in the seat for a HRITHIK film. Hell, I’ve travelled all the way over to Dallas, Texas just to watch it if it’s not playing in my local theatre.”
This will be Hrithik and Deepika’s first collaboration. They will star as Airforce officers Patty and Minni, taking on missions and performing high-octane stunts with their respective aircrafts. The film’s trailer was revealed in December 2023 and gave fans a glimpse of Deepika and Hrithik’s sizzling chemistry.
The film also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi in key roles. The Siddharth Anand directorial film is slated to have a theatrical release on January 25, 2024. The filmmaker’s last release was Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and it was a massive box office success.
