Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant finally kicked off their pre-wedding festivities on Friday, March 1 in Gujarat’s Jamnagar. Needless to say, the biggest highlight of the evening was Rihanna’s performance, photos and videos of which are now ruling social media.
The videos reveal that Rihanna performed several of her hit tracks including Pour It Up, Rude Boy and Considerations at the private concert. She set the stage on fire with her energetic performance and compelled everyone to tap their feet. Rihanna was seen dressed in a neon-green glittery see-through dress. During her performance, Rihanna also congratulated Anant and Radhika. “Good evening everyone, it is my honour to be here tonight. I have never been to India. Thanks to the Ambani family I am here tonight. Anant and Radhika, thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations,” she said.
In some of the viral photos, Rihanna was also seen posing with groom-to-be Anant Ambani on the stage. Another photo featured the global icon on stage with all other Ambani family members including Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani, elder son Akash Ambani, daughter-in-law Shloka Mehta, and Isha Ambani.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash is a star-studded affair which is being attended by several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Janhvi Kapoor, Manushi Chhillar, Rani Mukerji, and Manish Malhotra are also in Jamnagar for the pre-wedding bash. Parents-to-be Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are also attending the celebrations. Alia Bhatt is also attending the mega bash with her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor and mom-in-law Neetu Kapoor.
During the March 1-3 pre-wedding bash, Day 1 was called An Evening in Everland, with the dress code listed as “elegant cocktail”. Now, day 2 will host A Walk on the Wildside with “jungle fever” the suggested dress code. The final day will also comprise two events. The first one, Tusker Trails, suggests “casual chic” dressing, as guests are expected to further explore the green ambience of Jamnagar. The final party, Hastakshar, calls for an elegant evening with heritage Indian wear.
