Producer Vijay Babu's Friday Film House And KRG Studios Collaborate For Three Exciting Ventures

Prominent actor and producer Vijay Babu’s production company, Friday Film House, has joined forces with KRG Studios to embark on an exciting cinematic journey, unveiling plans for three upcoming films. The announcement came during a press conference led by Vijay Babu and Karthik Gowda, owner of KRG Studios. Their inaugural collaboration, titled Patakalam, will mark the directorial debut of Manu Swaraj, a Bengaluru native known for his work in short films and as a co-director alongside established directors like Justin Mathew and Basil Joseph.

The partnership between Friday Film House and KRG Studios aims to produce commercially viable films catering not only to Malayalam audiences but also to viewers beyond Indian borders. While the titles of the other two films remain undisclosed, both production houses are expected to leverage their expertise to nurture emerging talent by enlisting promising directors.

In addition to his collaboration with KRG Studios, Vijay Babu has expanded his cinematic footprint with the launch of his new production venture, Q Cinemas, on September 19, 2023. The unveiling of Q Cinemas coincided with the announcement of its debut project, a Malayalam film titled Eric, helmed by actor Shankar in his directorial debut. A grand event held at the Kochi Holiday Inn Hotel commemorated the launch of Q Cinemas, drawing luminaries from the film industry.

Eric, the maiden venture of Q Cinemas, commenced its first phase of shooting in Ernakulam, Kerala, with plans for extensive filming in the UK. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Geethika Tiwari, Hemanth Menon, and Praveen Prem. Q Cinemas has partnered with Osho Entertainment for the production of Eric, with cinematography by Sreejith Pacheni, music by Leela L Girish Kuttan, and editing by Harish Menon. The captivating storyline and screenplay are penned by Murali Raman, with dialogues crafted by MKI Sukumaran.

As both Friday Film House and Q Cinemas gear up for their respective ventures, anticipation builds among cinephiles eager to witness the creative vision and cinematic excellence these production houses are set to deliver.
