Despite her father’s reluctance, she broke into the Indian film industry and made a significant mark. Known for her grace, elegance, and bold performances, she introduced a new level of boldness in Hindi cinema at a time when audiences were still conservative. Simi was the first Indian actress to appear nude in two films, Mera Naam Joker and Siddhartha, making her a trailblazer in Indian cinema’s evolution toward more daring content.
