Kalki 2898 AD fever has grabbed hold of cine-goers across the country. Ever since the announcement of the film, fans have been going gaga about it. Recently, to increase the hype of the film, the makers released the trailer, giving fans a glimpse into Nag Ashwin’s upcoming sci-fi masterpiece. The star-studded drama features actors like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and Disha Patani. The trailer has given a sneak peek of exciting cameos that have further fuelled intense speculation among fans. While there have been many fan theories going viral, a report claims that the film might star the Sita Ramam actors.

As per the recent buzz, Vijay Deverakonda will be playing the role of Arjuna, Nani as Krishna while director SS Rajamouli will essay the role of Vishwamitra or Ved Vyasa. Along with this, the rumour mill is strife with reports that Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur might have been roped in for the film. Reportedly, the duo might be seen as Prabhas’ parents. No confirmation about these reports have been received yet.

Speaking of the film, Kalki 2898 AD is a larger-than-life movie. It will also star Pasupathy and Saswata Chatterjee. Now, a week before the film is said to premiere on the silver screens, the makers have launched a fresh new poster, featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, standing beside each other. The caption read, “Prepare for the Future! The Release Trailer of Kalki 2898 AD out Tomorrow at 6 PM.”

This is the second trailer that has left the movie-goers excited. Many fans demanded countdown posters, while others said they wanted to watch the film directly in the theatres now. As per the latest updates, the film has been given a green signal by the censor board. It has been given the U/A certificate by the CBFC. From the trailer, it can be assumed that the film may show a futuristic take on Mahabharata. The film is said to release on June 27, 2024.
