The action-packed film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, failed to become a box office hit. Early reports from Sacknilk suggest that the movie earned Rs 2.50 crore on Sunday, bringing its total earnings in India to 56.80 crore. Internationally, the film has made Rs 90.5 crore. In its first week, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan earned Rs 49.9 crore. But on Friday, it accumulated an earning of Rs 1.4 crore. The film failed to resonate with the audience, bringing in Rs 1.75 crore earnings collected on Saturday and Rs 2.50 crore on Sunday. Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, garnered positive reviews among viewers. It made Rs 3.25 crore on Sunday, surpassing Bade Miyan Chote Miyan earnings. In total, it earned Rs 35.70 crore in India and Rs 45.65 crore worldwide. Despite its potential, Maidaan, with a budget of Rs 150 crore, didn’t meet expectations.
Trade experts predict both movies will suffer losses, possibly exceeding Rs 100 crore.
A report by Sacknilk reveals that the movie Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan recorded an earning of Rs 80 lakh across India on its 13th day, which was the second Tuesday after its release. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, the movie also stars Manushi Chillar and Alaya F in significant roles.
Ajay Devgn’s film Maidaan is facing a significant drop in earnings during its second week. Right from the start, the movie hasn’t performed well at the box office, and now its earnings have decreased to lakhs. According to Sacknilk, Maidaan earned only Rs 75 lakh on the second Tuesday. Overall, the film has made Rs 37.05 crore across the country so far.
Both Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan and Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan were released in theatres on April 11. Unfortunately, both movies didn’t do well at the box office. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, while Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan was directed by Amit Ravindranath Sharma. Gajraj Rao and Priyamani play important roles in Maidan.
