BANGALORE: Irked by his sister-in-law asking him to leave the house, a 20-year-old man allegedly stabbed her to death. The incident was reported in Ganganagar in R T Nagar police station limits on Thursday.The victim has been identified as Shobha, 30, a native of Mulabagal. She was married to Varadaraju, a native of Srinivasapur, eight years ago. The police have arrested Varadaraju’s brother Mohan in connection with the incident. The brothers run a photo frame shop in Ganganagar.According to the police, there was a lack of understanding between Mohan and his sister-in-law. Mohan, who was reportedly in love with a girl, and used to bring her home for which Shobha had objected. She was allegedly forcing him to leave the house since a month. Even on Thursday afternoon, Shobha asked him to leave the house. Enaged by this, Mohan allegedly stabbed and slit her throat with a knife and Shobha died on the spot.” Later, Mohan contacted Varadaraj, who was in the shop, over phone and informed him that he had murdered Shobha. Then Varadaraju reported the matter to the police. Mohan, who was absconding, was arrested just after a few hours after the incident,” the police added.R T Nagar police have registered a murder case and are further investigating in this connection.
