The bride refused to marry after she discovered that the groom and his relatives were drunk during the wedding ceremony.
New Delhi: In yet another case of fight against injustice and oppression, a bride rejected a prospective groom when she learnt that he was drunk.
News agency PTI quoted police officials as saying that Kavita of Purqazi village in Muzaffarnagar, refused to marry Ramesh after she discovered that he and his family members were under the influence of alcohol during the wedding ceremony.
Police added that the marriage party later returned empty-handed.
This is the second such incident of bridal rejection in the district within a period of three days.
