Udhagamandalam (TN): A 36-Year-old woman worker in a tea factory was killed on Monday after she was caught in the conveyor belt at Mayfield in Nilakottai, police said.
As the worker was putting tea leaves in the basket, her saree entangled with the belt, dragging her to the extreme end, resulting in her neck getting stuck between the belt and pulley, they said.
The motor was immediately switched off and the woman was dragged out, but she died instantaneously, they added. The tea factory belongs to Harrisons Malayalam.
