HYDERABAD: Scores of TRS activists including MLAs and senior leaders were taken into custody when they staged a dharna in front of Vidyuth Soudha on Tuesday demanding rollback of power tariff. Demanding rollback of the revised tariff, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao called for one-day protest in front of all sub stations in Telangana including Vidyuth Soudha here. Many TRS leaders led by Eetela Rajender and Pocharam Srinivas squatted in front of Vidyuth Soudha demanding rollback of power tariff. When they tried to enter into Vidyuth Soudha shouting slogans against the government, police took them into custody and shifted them to police station. Meanwhile, the traffic on the Khairatabad- Punjagutta stretch came to standstill for more than two-hours with various political parties staging protests dharnas in front of the Vidyuth Soudha.
