HYDERABAD: An engineering graduate tried to end his life in front of the Secretariat on Wednesday for a separate Telangana. The youngster was reportedly aghast over Telangana ministers taking part in Tuesday’s cabinet meeting.The youngster, 22-year-old A Sandeep Reddy is a native of Godavari Khani and completed his BTech from a private college on outskirts of the city. He is staying in Kompally and presently looking for a job. Around 10 a.m, Sandeep Reddy came near the Secretariat and roamed there for sometime. After nearing the entrance, he whipped out a knife and stabbed himself in the stomach while raising slogans of Jai Telangana.Police immediately shifted him to the Osmania General Hospital where he was operated upon. His condition is said to be stable.Sandeep Reddy told reporters he was aghast over ministers from Telangana who had submitted their resignations earlier attending the cabinet meeting. “The ministers from the region betrayed the people of Telangana. Students are resorting to suicides because of such people,” he said.
