New Delhi: In another one of his unique promotional strategies, superstar Shahrukh Khan is turning salesman on the small screen to sell merchandise from his upcoming film 'RA.One'.
The 45-year-old actor is all set to enter people's living rooms via TV as he showcases 'RA.One' merchandise on a special series on the virtual retail platform HomeShop18.
With this initiative, the 'Baadshah' of Bollywood is trying to take movie marketing to an all new level in India, enabling audiences from across the country to have a piece of his superhero avatar G.One in the movie.
As official shopping partner of 'RA.One', HomeShop18 will sell the original movie merchandise through both its 24 hours home shopping channel and their website.
"I would like everyone to watch the movie and bring home G.One. Through this association, we are trying a new form of movie marketing in India, much like the practice in Hollywood. We want our audiences to not only get entertained by 'RA.One' but also get a chance to own a piece of the movie as they shop in the comfort of their homes," SRK said.
The movie merchandise include RA.One action figure, G Balls, RA.One Frisbee, pencil box, lunch box, stationary set, notebooks, sipper set, exam board, coin bank, toy laptops, fridge magnets, wristbands, key chains and car danglers.
"Shah Rukh wanted to take the merchandise to families across the country and we are happy to provide him with the platform," Sundeep Malhotra, Founder and CEO, HomeShop18, said in a statement.
