BANGALORE: The bodies of Dr Huda Khanum Shirani (23) and her younger sister Nadia Khanum Shirani (21) who were killed in a road mishap in Muscat on Thursday, would reach the city on Sunday afternoon. The sisters were the residents of Jayanagar.Their relative Abdul Wajid said that bodies would be brought through flight arriving at Bangalore International Airport at 3 pm on Sunday. “Their parents Kaleemulla Shirani and Naseemunnisa Shirani who sustained serious injuries in the accident will also come in the same flight. Two doctors will be accompanying them to assist them,” Wajid told Express.“Once they reach the city, the bodies will be taken to Upparahalli in Tumkur where the last rites will be performed,” he added.Dr Huda was studying MD at Siddartha Medical College in Tumkur while Nadia was a BE (Architecture) student at SPA College in Vijaywada of Andhra Pradesh. Their mother Naseemunnisa was a lecturer at Government College in Harohalli on KR Road. The family hailed from Tumkur.They had gone to Muscat to celebrate Bakrid as Naseemunnisa’s husband Kaleemulla, a businessman, is staying there since 12 years. The mishap occurred while the family was returning home in a car after visiting holy places. Their car met with an accident in which the sisters, who were sitting in the rear seat, were killed on the spot. Their parents sustained serious damage to their spinal chords.
