Saudi embassy rejects allegations against its diplomat
The two women will be flown back to Nepal on Thursday.

The embassy of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday termed as "false" the allegations of sexual assault against one of its diplomats and said it has protested to the External Affairs Ministry over "police intrusion" into a diplomat's house in violation of "all diplomatic conventions".

"Embassy strongly stresses that these allegations are false and have not been proven. Embassy protests the unwarranted media briefing before the investigation was complete and protests police intrusion into the diplomat's residence," the embassy said in a statement.

Two Nepalese women have alleged that they were confined and raped by the diplomat repeatedly in a flat in Gurgaon on the outskirts of the national capital after which local police filed an FIR in the matter.

"I was employed as domestic help at the diplomat's house. We were beaten up badly, police helped us. I was locked up in the house and assaulted several times. We were denied food and water," one of the women said.

Gurgaon Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said, "We have shared all the details that need to be shared with MEA. MEA has advised us to go by Vienna convention."

The two women will be flown back to Nepal on Thursday.
