Revenue official arrested for taking Rs 25000 bribe

A woman revenue official was on Thursday arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district.

Rajpal Kaur, posted as Patwari-Suratgarh tehsil, had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 from one Mahendra Singh for transferring land of his father in his name in the revenue records, officials said.

Kaur, had already taken Rs 5,000 and was caught by a team of anti-corruption bureau while accepting another installment of Rs 5,000 at her quarter, IG ACB Smita Srivastava said here.
