TIRUPATI: Pushpa Yagam was performed in Padmavati temple in Tiruchanoor on Wednesday, the day after the conclusion of the nine-day annual Brahmotsavams.About eight tonnes of 18 varieties of flowers, including lily, roses, tulsi, lotus etc. were used in the Yagam. Earlier in the noon, officials and devotees took flowers in a procession to the temple. The processional deity of the Goddess seated on the golden plank in Sri Krishna Mandapam was offered flowers amid chanting of Vedic hymns.
