CHENNAI: Leaders of various political parties on Wednesday awarded centum to the performance of the AIADMK government in its first 100 days and showered praises on Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for her achievements and the welfare schemes announced by her.Deputy Leader of Opposition Panruti S Ramachandran termed it as “golden day of achievements”. The CM has been adding achievement after achievement to her crown everyday, he said and added that despite hurdles, Jayalalithaa has been delivering goods to the people. Praising the speed of progress, Speaker D Jayakumar said the Chief Minister has been working overtime to serve the people for the past 100 days. Leader of the House and Finance Minister O Panneerselvam said Jayalalithaa had redeemed Tamil Nadu from an evil force and during the past 100 days, she had accomplished welfare measures that could be done in 100 years. The people of the State have given 100 out of 100 marks to this government, he added.According to AISMK founder R Sarathkumar, hundred is a significant number. While in the past those who had promised to give two acres of land had grabbed it from them, the current CM has been providing an efficient governance.MMK leader Jawahirullah said, the AIADMK government is worthy of giving 100 out of 100 marks.K Arumugam (CPI), A Soundararajan (CPM), NR Rangarajan (Congress) K Krishnasamy (PT), Thani Arasu (Kongu Youth Federation), C K Thamizharasan (RPI), PV Kathiraran (AIFB) and Kalai Arasu (PMK) also hailed the achievements of the Chief Minister. Tourism Minister Gokula Indira spoke on behalf of the women members in the House and recalled the measures taken by Jayalalithaa for the welfare of women. Except Panruti S Ramachandran and his colleague Arun Pandiyan, other DMDK members were not present in the House as they were taking part in the birthday celebrations of their leader Vijaykanth.
