Ornaments stolen from temple

BANGALORE: Unknown miscreants gained entry into Kaalikamba Temple at Avalahalli and decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth `5 lakh in the wee hours of Sunday.According to the police, the miscreants entered the temple by breaking open its door locks and made away with gold and silver ornaments that were put on the deity. The incident came to light on Sunday morning, when the priest came to the temple.He has filed a case in Byatarayanapura police station and further investigations are on.
