Los Angeles: Actor Nicolas Cage will play the lead in director Charlie Kaufman's musical "Frank or Francis".
The project will be helmed by his past collaborator Charlie Kaufman. Cage, Kaufman are reuniting after nine years - both worked together in 2002 film "Adaptation".
The story is said to revolve around an author called Frank, who clashes with an online blogger named Francis, reports variety.com.
Jack Black and Steve Carell have also been signed on for important roles in the musical. Although the female casts are yet to be decided, the film is set to go on floors early next January.
