New Delhi: Voting in New Hampshire has begun with opinion polls showing Barack Obama surging ahead.

He is 13 points ahead of Democrat rival Hillary Clinton, winning seven of ten votes cast in the small hamlet of Dixville Notch.

There are 5 lakh-registered voters in New Hampshire. A victory here would place Obama in the top spot in the Democratic nominating campaign. Defeat for Hillary would be a humiliating loss and there are already reports of donors holding back on funding and call from within her campaign to pull out.

“You know I have so many opportunities from this country. I just don't want to see us fall backwards. This is very personal for me, not just political, it's not just public,” says Hillary getting a bit teary eyed as she scrambled for last minute votes.

“I see what' happening. We have to reverse it. Each one of us cares about our country. Some of us are ready and some of us are not. It is the voters get to decide,” adds Hilary.
